53rd Annual Chicken BBQ scheduled for Saturday in Manito

MANITO, Ill.. — The Forman Fire Protection District will host its 53rd Annual Chicken BBQ Saturday, June 16 at the Forman Firehouse on Market Street in Manito.
From the village's chamber of commerce website:
We will be serving Chicken, Potato Salad, Baked Beans and this also includes Lemonade and Tea. This all takes place on Saturday, June 16th 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or until we are sold out. So come early and try our Chicken BBQ!
The Forman Fire Protection District Volunteers will be selling tickets for six prizes. First prize is a BBQ Grill Package, second prize is the backyard escape package, third prize is couples night out package, fourth prize is a car wash package, fifth prize is the weather safety package, and sixth prize is the fire safety package. The drawing will be at the end of the BBQ. If interested in getting tickets, please see a volunteer or they will be sold at the BBQ.
The money that is raised from the Chicken BBQ is used for the purchase of new equipment for the Fire Department and Ambulance. Please mark this date on your calendar and help support your volunteers.
If there are any senior citizens or shut-ins that would like to have your dinner delivered, please call the Firehouse and we can deliver one to you at no extra charge.
