What Is the Easiest Way to Clean a Stainless Steel Barbecue
Many barbecue grilling units are made of stainless steel, which lasts for years and endures outdoor conditions well. Just like any other cooking unit, clean the steel regularly to remove not only food buildup and grease, but also outdoor elements that accumulate on the barbecue. Use an effective cleaner that uses no flammable ingredients, as you do not want to create a potential safety hazard or fire.
Instructions
1 Mix a spray bottle with 3 cups water, 1 cup white vinegar and 1 tsp. dish soap.
2 Spray your cleaning mixture over the interior of the stainless steel grill, and scrub with a damp nylon scrubbing pad. Continue until you remove all grease and food residue from the grill.
3 Wipe the interior with a damp cloth to remove the lifted residue, and stay away from any pilot lights when cleaning.
4 Spray the mixture onto the outside of the barbecue grill, and either wipe down with a damp cloth or a damp nylon scrubbing pad depending on the amount of residue that is built up on the exterior of the unit.
5 Dry the exterior with a clean rag to prevent water spots and streaking.
