Store Oolong Tea Between Infusions
Re-infusing tea can save money, but subsequent infusions lose their flavor. Loose or bagged used Oolong tea can be stored briefly, up to 24 hours at most, between infusions. The longer the tea sits, the weaker the next infusion will be. Each subsequent infusion of the same Oolong tea needs longer brewing than the previous. The second and third infusions will turn out better if the tea is used within an hour.

Gently squeeze the tea out to remove as much moisture as possible.

Place in a small airtight container or zipper bag.

Store in the refrigerator butter keeper or other closed location to prevent the tea from absorbing food odors.
