Install a Grease Filter
The GE Profile microwave is equipped with a filtration system for trapping airborne grease before it can escape the microwave vents on the bottom of the appliance. The two filters must be removed and cleaned or replaced periodically so the vent operates properly. Each filter is built into a thin metal frame to make it easier to slide the filters into position under the appliance. No special tools are required.
Instructions
1
Unplug the power cord for the GE Profile as a standard safety precaution.
2
Look under the microwave to inspect the bottom of the appliance. Locate the two metal tracks molded on the underside of the cabinet on the left and right.
3
Slide the grease filters into the slots at the back of each track and push in slowly toward the front of the microwave. Do not force the filters, which can bend under excessive pressure.
