How to Remove the Grease Filter

Datetime:2013-06-17 Hits:

Kenmore microwaves are available in a variety of sizes, finishes and with many different options, including convection cooking, temperature and cooking sensors, warming settings, automatic defrost, speed cooking, timer, specific item settings and digital controls. Many Kenmore microwaves also have a grease filter to help catch grease and other drips that may occur while cooking to help keep the grease from entering the microwave controls or motor. Removing this filter to clean is fairly simple.

Instructions

1
Disconnect the Kenmore microwave from the power source.

2
Locate the grease filters on the underside of the microwave. Note that most countertop microwaves do not have grease filters, but microwave/hood combinations do.

3
Slide each filter out to the side to remove while pulling down and out.

4
Align the filter with the slots on the bottom of the microwave and push in to reinstall.
