How to Hang a Magazine Rack for the Home
If you have many magazine subscriptions, or you have a long-time subscription to a single magazine, you will eventually find yourself hard-pressed to find a place to put the magazines. While there are many kinds of magazine racks on the market, the racks that hang from your walls are cheap and consume the least amount of floor space. Hanging a magazine rack is no difficult task, often requiring little more than a couple of nails and a steady eye.
Instructions
1 Hold the magazine rack against the wall with one hand. With the other hand, use a black marker to mark spots in the wall where you want to create holes for the hooks.
2 Rest the tip of the nail against the marker dots on the wall. Use the hammer to gently breach the wall with the nail by tapping the flat part repeatedly with the hammer. Repeat this for the other nail/hook marker.
3 Screw each hook into the small holes that you have made with the hammer and nail. Screw the hooks until the hooks are both tight in the wall and are hooking upwards, towards the ceiling.
4 Slide the magazine rack's hook holes through the hooks (or nails). Wiggle the hooks to make sure they are firmly in the wall.
