How to Clean a Whisk
Whisks are used to blend dry ingredients, whip eggs, cream or other ingredients used for cooking. But what happens when you've finished your cooking project and the twines of your whisk have caked on ingredients and won't come off? This article to give you tips on how to remove the crusted food left on your whisk.
1 Pour hot water into a large bowl. Add about one to two tablespoons of liquid soap to the bowl of hot water.
2 Stir the water and soap mixture with the dirty whisk until the soap is dissolved and the mixture froths slightly.
3 Leave the whisk in the water to soak overnight. The next day, the food particles will have completely fallen off your whisk and into your water.
4 Rinse the whisk with fresh clean water and set out on the counter to dry.
