How to Clean Oven Rack
Using an oven hardly ever seems like an issue, but after a few uses, the build-up of grime means it is time to clean those oven racks. If you do not want to deal with the hassle of scrubbing for hours on end or do not have a self-cleaning oven, you can still clean your oven racks easily. This is an overnight process, so you do not need to tie up your schedule, either.
Instructions
1 Fill the sink with boiling water. Warm water will not have the same effect as boiling water does.
2 Pour some laundry detergent into the pool of water. The amount you need will vary, but you do not need too much. You will have to use your best judgment here.
3 Put the oven racks into the water mixture. Allow it to rest overnight. When you return to the oven racks in the morning, you will see the grime has mostly dissolved.
4 Rinse the oven racks in the sink. Dry them off before inserting them back into the oven.
