Do a wire basket

Datetime:2017-02-02 Hits:

If there's one thing I always need more of, Wire basket cute storage options. It's just not always easy to find exactly what I need in the right size or style for the right price. I decided to try my hand at making my own wire baskets out of galvanized mesh wire from the outdoor section of the hardware store. My sizes were only limited by the width of the mesh wire, but I didn't need anything wider than what was offered and had plenty left over after making the three shown.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Green Foam Floral Block

Poinsettia Bushes

Holly Berry Bushes

Spanish Moss

Glue

Basket

Wire Cutters

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

Glue the foam cube into the bottom of the basket.

Cut the individual stems from the poinsettia bushes using wire cutters. Push the stems into the cube, spacing evenly to create a symmetrical shape.

Cut the holly berry from the bush and push into the foam, filling in around the poinsettias.

Tuck Spanish moss in between the stems and on the inside edge of the basket to cover the cube and plastic stems.

Before completing any basket design, WUZHOU KINGDA engineers familiarizes themselves with the application you’ll be using the wire baskets for via your responses to a custom basket questionnaire. Based on your responses the design engineer will modify a basket’s design, adding features such as lids, handles and dividers, or changing the thickness and materials of your basket’s wire mesh to better withstand the stresses of your cleaning process.
