Instructions
1
Clean out the closet or area where you will be installing the wire shelving. Remove all objects from the area and set them aside.
2
Run a stud finder across the wall and mark the location of the stud in the center of the wall with a pencil. Line up the hang track in the center of the wall near the top so the hole in the track is lined up with the stud mark. Leave enough space for installation.
3
Line up a level on top of the hanger. Adjust it until it is level and mark the hole locations with a pencil. Drill through the pencil marks, beginning at the direct center. Insert a machine screw into the hole in the center of the track. Move down two holes and insert the next screw. Install a screw into every other hole on the track. The studs should be located at every other hole if they are 16 inches on center.
4
Slide the vertical standards into the track hanger 24 inches apart, running down the wall. Set a level on them and verify they are plumb. Install a machine screw into the provided hole on the bottom of the standard. Repeat the process for all of the standards you are using.
5
Snap the brackets into the holes in the standards at the desired location. Repeat the process all the way up the standards until all the brackets are installed. Cut the shelving to size with bolt cutters, if necessary, and set it on top of the brackets. Snap the first shelf into place and install the remaining shelves the same way.
