Cup Rack Display
Datetime:2015-05-08 Hits:
Display cup and saucer sets on a rack specifically designed to show the saucer’s design with a cup hanging beside it. Unlike display shelves, racks are lighter weight and come in vertical display styles as well as horizontal. Display a cup and saucer collection on a rack in the kitchen for a homey touch or place the rack in a Victorian style room for added elegance.
Instructions
1
Select a wall surface away from traffic and activities that could cause the rack to get bumped. Choose a location with sufficient lighting to show off the design of the cup and saucer sets.
2
Hold the display rack in place against the wall. Press a bubble level against the side of the rack, adjusting the rack until it is aligned vertically. Hold the level against a horizontal section and adjust the rack until the bubble lines up with the center mark. Double check both the vertical and horizontal alignment and adjust as necessary.
3
Mark the rack’s bracket holes with a light pencil mark. Set aside the rack and drill a hole the size of the rack’s mounting screws. Insert a screw anchor into each hole and tap lightly with a hammer to hold in place.
4
Insert the cup and saucer rack’s mounting screws into the rack’s slots. Partially screw in one screw using a screwdriver head bit on a handheld electric drill. Partially screw in the remaining screws, one at a time. Return to the first screw and drive it into the wall completely. Continue driving in the screws until the rack is firmly affixed to the wall.
5
Place the saucers of each cup and saucer set on the rack, ensuring each is stable before moving on to the next. Hang the cup of each set on the rack hook beside its companion saucer.
