Cover Wire Shelves with Self

If you don't like using your home's wire shelving surface for storage you can upgrade the surface by applying inexpensive self-adhesive vinyl floor tiles, according to a tip from The Kranz Family's weblog.
Many of us who live in recently-built houses and apartments have closets and pantries full of plastic-coated-metal wire shelving. These shelves can be a pain, especially for pantries, as the wire surface causes boxes to tip over and cans to sit unevenly.
The Kranz family found that a box of floor tiles for $12 at their local discount store which yielded enough to surface their entire pantry and two shelves in their laundry room. No tools are needed unless you need to cut down the tiles, you just peel and stick the tiles on top of the wire.
