These popular kitchen accessories are fantastic tools of organization in and around the home. Try these alternate uses for a dish drainer instead of throwing an extra one away. It might not be needed for drying dishes, but it has many other handy uses that people never consider.
Use a Dish Drainer to Hold Commonly Used Files
Do you ever have trouble keeping files organized and nearby? Implement a dish drainer to hold commonly used files. Keep it on a desk or tabletop, and use it to hold a file for each monthly obligation. When the mail arrives, keep the portion necessary for paying the bill, and tuck the other half into the appropriate file rather than creating a stack. Without the utensil cup, no one is likely to realize the handy file holder is actually a dish drainer.
Keep an Extra Dish Drainer to Organize Schoolwork
Schoolwork can be difficult to keep track of, especially when home-schooling a child. Use an extra dish drainer and manila file folders to hold everything from graded papers to homework. They will be easier to find than if they were placed in a plastic container or simply stacked on a table or desk.
